The month of August in Alaska. We traveled in a camper, from Anchorage north to Fairbanks and (by plane) to Barrow, the northern tip of the continent. And south to the Kenai Peninsula. The country is 30 times the size of Switzerland and has one-tenth the population. A camper's and fisherman's paradise in the short Nordic summer, as you can see here. And we met interesting people, Indian, Eskimo, "sourdough", and the visitor from the "Lower 48".
