When I had finished my series "shangri-la", which is mainly of "cool" blueish/greenish hue, I longed for visual warmth: yellow, orange and red. Wild dark-purple and emerald lines criss-cross in counterpoint. All was spontaneous and free, my subconscious was dumping images as they came, without intent or filter. When I contemplated what I had done, it seemed an ongoing process as much as a finished work. I thought of nature's raw force, perhaps the inside of our earth, or where the glowing inside hits the surface.
